Subject:      Flagpoles

This memorandum provides information about flagpole requirements as follows:

1. A permit is not required for a flagpole.
2. A flagpole must adhere to the height limitations of the Zoning District in which the flagpole is to be located.
3. A flagpole must not be located within an easement unless the owner obtained an approved Occupation of Easement through the County’s Real Estate Services Division.
4. The flagpole must not impede visibility and must be located outside of any visibility triangle.
5. Call 800.432.4770 within 2 business days before digging.
