This notice applies to all mobile and manufactured home dealers, installers, and mobile and manufactured home owners.
A permit is required to set up and tie down a mobile and manufactured home or to replace a mobile or manufactured home. Subcontractors are required for the installation of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical services to supply the utilities and air conditioning. All accessory structures, such as, carports, screen and glass rooms, utility sheds, aluminum roof-overs or an addition also require a building permit.
A permit is also required to repair or remodel a mobile or manufactured home, such as, the structure, roof system, walls, floor system, windows and exterior doors unless minor in scope, etc. Please visit www.charlottecountyfl.gov for the list of minor work that doesn't require a permit.
