New 8^th Edition of the Florida Building Code

Effective Tentatively on December 31, 2023

The new 8^th Edition (2023) of the Florida Building Code is tentatively scheduled to become effective on December 31^st , 2023.  This would mean any permit application submitted on December 31^st or later would be subject to the new code.  The Florida Building Commission website provides free access to all volumes of the 8^th Edition (2023) Florida Building Code.
