MEMORANDUM

Subject: Phasing Out of Certain Local Specialty Licenses
In accordance with Ordinance 2022-054, that was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on November 8, 2022, the following local specialty licenses will no longer be required in Charlotte County:
- Acoustical and Insulation
- Asphalt Paving and Coating
- Ceramic Tile, Terrazzo, and Marble
- Fence
- Job Site Clean-Up
- Commercial Landscaping
- Painting
- Swimming Pool/Spa Water Treatment
Although a license may no longer be required, a Local Business Tax Receipt from the County Tax Collector’s office will still be required for any contractor conducting business in the County. Permits will still be required for asphalt paving and fences through the Building Department.
