Utilities Department Service Advisory - Water and Sewer Installations

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (March 29, 2023) – The Charlotte County Utilities Department is experiencing a significant increase in new water and sewer service installation applications.
The department processes and prioritizes installations based on the remittance of payment; however, we recognize that some developers and builders can complete their builds more timely than others.
To better manage installation schedules and ensure that Certificates of Occupancy are not impacted, we would ask the following:
For water and meter installations
Email Coordinator.Engineering@CharlotteCountyFL.gov your permit number once your slab has passed inspection, along with an anticipated C of O date.
For sewer installations
Email Coordinator.Engineering@CharlotteCountyFL.gov your permit number once your roof sheathing has passed inspection, along with an anticipated C of O date.
The permit holder is responsible for contacting Charlotte County Utilities with the above information.
