Traffic Advisory - Coral Creek Bridge Intermittent Lane Closures May 11-13

Intermittent lane closures will occur on County Road 775 over Coral Creek Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, May 11 through Wednesday, May 13 for Public Works crews to complete installation of LED lighting on the bridge.

Cole Kelly of Punta Gorda Adventures was named Emerging Business of the Year by the Florida SBDC at FGCU during the 2026 Distinguished Entrepreneur Awards held May 6.
The Distinguished Entrepreneur Awards recognize entrepreneurs and business leaders in Southwest Florida. Kelly was honored in the Emerging Business of the Year category, representing Charlotte County among this year’s award winners.
Marine Advisory - South Gulf Cove Lock Opening May 15-19

To help raise water levels in the canal system, the South Gulf Cove lock will be opened from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting Friday, May 15 through Tuesday, May 19 to allow water flow. These times may vary depending on the tides.
