CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Nov. 27, 2024) – The U.S. Small Business Administration has extended the deadline to Jan. 7 to give Florida businesses and residents more time to apply for federal disaster loans for physical damages that occurred from Sept. 23 through Nov. 2 due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

You can contact SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for further assistance. For people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services.
To be considered for all forms of disaster assistance, applicants should register online at DisasterAssistance.gov or download the FEMA mobile app. Applicants should call the FEMA toll-free helpline at 800-621-3362 if online or mobile access is unavailable. Those who use 711-Relay or Video Relay Services should call 800-621-3362.
