Disaster Recovery Site - Ainger Creek Park

This page is a Disaster Recovery Site of multiple projects related to Storm Damages.

Project Description

The site experienced substantial waterfront and structural damage, including erosion at the boat ramp and stormwater areas, seawall displacement and washouts along 510 feet, and erosion exposing mangrove roots. Multiple piers, including four finger piers, a boarding pier, and an observation platform sustained damage to decking, support poles, safety rails, and gates. The boat ramp requires riprap replacement, and storm drain debris protection was damaged. Storm surges washed fill into the waterway, necessitating dredging and shoreline reinforcement. Additional impacts include damaged parking bumpers, trash/recycling containers, and signage, with repairs completed on the main arch sign.
