Repair and Maintenance Core Services Mission Statement: To deliver repair and maintenance of County facilities in a proactive, responsive and value-conscious manner.
Facilities' Repair and Maintenance consists of trade-skilled employees that are proficient in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. They provide quick, efficient, and quality work for our County facilities, internal departments, and supported elected officials. They provide repairs and maintenance to roughly 216 county buildings, 317 structures, and 128 units of property in the open. The division also is responsible for the upkeep and daily work required to maintain our Jail and Public Safety facilities.
HVAC
The HVAC technicians handle HVAC replacements, repairs, and preventive maintenance on 2,257 pieces of equipment including ice machines, refrigerators, commercial coolers, 1-ton split systems to 400-ton chillers. The HVAC division also controls energy efficient building automation and lighting controls saving the County money.
Jail & Public Safety
The Jail maintenance technicians handle approximately 3,300 repair work orders per year including lock and camera repairs, toilet and sink repairs, kitchen equipment repairs, commercial washers and dryer repairs. They are also responsible to perform preventive maintenance programs for all jail mechanical systems and generators.
Small Projects
The Small Projects team handles many smaller projects, often requiring engineering and permitting. Their projects range from remodels, flooring replacement, roof replacements, boat ramp rebuilds, and sealing/striping parking lots to name a few.
