The U.S. Small Business Administration announced the availability of low interest federal disaster loans to small businesses and private nonprofit organizations in Florida who sustained economic losses caused by the drought beginning February 11, 2025.

Applicants may also call SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more information on SBA disaster assistance. For people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services.
The deadline to return economic injury applications is Dec. 8, 2025.

The Charlotte County Hurricane Ian Seawall Repair Assistance program has remaining funds to be expended before June 30, 2025, and applications are being accepted through May 30. Homeowners may submit a complete application packet for reimbursement of up to 50% of eligible costs.
