CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (April 6, 2026) – The Charlotte County Utilities Department is seeking applicants for its summer internship program. Applicants must be current high school students and at least 16 years old. The paid internship program gives students hands-on experience while learning about water distribution, treatment facilities, wastewater collection and more.
Students can participate in one four-week session:
Session One: June 8 - July 3
Session Two: July 6 - July 31
Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Interested participants are asked to apply online and submit a letter of recommendation by May 1.
