CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (June 16, 2025) – Charlotte County Fire & EMS has been nationally recognized with the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold achievement award for its commitment to providing rapid, research-based care to patients experiencing the most severe heart attacks and strokes. Saving lives and strengthening outcomes across the community.
Mission: Lifeline EMS is a national initiative of the American Heart Association aimed at improving the system of care for high-risk, time-sensitive emergencies like ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMIs) and strokes. The program emphasizes streamlined coordination from the moment a 911 call is placed, through EMS response and hospital care ensuring patients receive timely, lifesaving treatment.
