Charlotte County, Fla. (Oct. 7, 2025) – Two hydroponic gardening workshops will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Centennial Park Recreation Center located at 1120 Centennial Blvd., in Port Charlotte. Classes will be held from noon-2 p.m. and 2-4 p.m.
Participants will learn how to grow their own hydroponic lettuce in a non-circulating system. This simple home-made unit uses a hydroponic bucket design geared for backyard vegetable gardeners - perfect for small spaces. In this workshop, participants will learn the principles of hydroponic production using this easy-to-build model. Each participant will take home a complete kit including seedlings.
This workshop will provide hands-on experience taught by Master Gardener Volunteer Bob Prier a hydroponic practitioner.
