Three Charlotte County Companies Are in the Running for the “Coolest Thing Made in Florida”

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (June 9, 2025) — Three Charlotte County companies have officially been nominated for the inaugural Coolest Thing Made in Florida competition, a statewide celebration recognizing innovation and manufacturing excellence across the Sunshine State.

The Charlotte County contenders are:

  • Vestas Aircoil
  • Underwater Fish Light
  • Pro Glider Boats

Hosted by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, the competition kicks off its Popular Voting Round from June 17 through July 1, 2025. Supporters from across Florida can vote once per product each day at CoolestThingMadeInFlorida.com. The 32 products receiving the most votes will move on to the Bracket Competition beginning July 15.

“This is an incredible opportunity for Charlotte County to shine,” said Kay Tracy, director for Charlotte County Economic Development. “These products not only reflect the talent and creativity in our business community, but also help strengthen Florida’s reputation for cutting-edge manufacturing.”
