CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Aug. 27, 2026) – Elmira Boulevard between Idlewild Street and Beacon Drive as well as Idlewild Street between Elmira Boulevard and Troy Avenue, will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 1 through Friday, Sept. 11 for Charlotte County crews to conduct stormwater maintenance.
Travelers are directed to a detour with signage and should allow extra time when planning to travel through this area.
The Public Works Department reminds motorists to remain alert at all times and to exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity of construction zones.
