West Virginia Avenue from Sullivan Street to southbound U.S. 41 will be closed 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, May 8, to replace a traffic signal cabinet. Traffic will be detoured via West Charlotte Avenue and West Olympia Avenue using Sullivan Street. On the west side of U.S. 41, eastbound traffic on West Virginia Avenue heading toward southbound U.S. 41 will be restricted to right turns only.
Travelers are directed to a detour with signage and should allow extra time when planning to travel through this area.
The Public Works Department reminds motorists to remain alert at all times and to exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity of construction zones.
