CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Oct. 17, 2025) — The Charlotte County Veterans Day Parade is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Port Charlotte Beach Park, 4500 Harbor Blvd. The parade will proceed east on Harbor Boulevard to Edgewater Boulevard, make a left turn onto Edgewater Boulevard and proceed to William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park.
More than 60 organizations are participating in this year’s parade, including local high school bands and ROTC units, veteran organizations, and scouts. Many well-known dignitaries will be participating as well as the leadership for the American Legion and local AMVETS. Several businesses and community organizations will also be participating in this year’s parade.
The parade grand marshal is Brig. Gen. Anthony “Bud” Bell. He was voted grand marshal by the Charlotte County Veterans Council because of his long history of support to veterans and his efforts, with others, helped make the Vietnam Wall a reality.
“Parade Director Sam Taylor is amazing. He has been working on this parade since January,” said Commissioner Stephen R. Deutsch. “We hope to see lots of children on the parade route. This parade is as much for our children as well as for our veterans”.
