Hurricane Ian caused severe shoreline erosion at Manasota Key, Don Pedro, and Stump Pass, displacing hundreds of thousands of cubic yards of sand. The dune system and seawalls were heavily damaged, exposing properties to storm risks. Additional damage affected beach fill, mangrove roots, riprap, pavilions, sidewalks, boat ramps, and docks, many of which need repair or replacement.

Storm surges caused severe erosion, washouts, and structural damage. Restroom foundations were undermined, and multiple piers and boardwalks need full concrete replacement. Sidewalks, pavers, rip rap, seawalls, and erosion control structures were damaged. Additional impacts include damaged posts, benches, signage, fencing, and trash containers.

The site experienced erosion and widespread damage to playgrounds, park amenities, boarding piers, sidewalks, floating ADA kayak/canoe launch, restroom building, lighting, and fencing caused by storm surge, strong winds, flooding, and windborne debris from multiple hurricanes. The floating ADA canoe/kayak launch and pedestrian bridge require replacement and the boarding pier requires partial replacement.

High winds and windborne debris damaged pavilion roof, fascia, soffit, and electrical components, requiring repairs. Four signs were also damaged. The fishing pier suffered minor damage to the entire structure, including handrails, support poles, and beams.
