CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (April 7, 2026) – Six Charlotte County business leaders have been named official candidates in the 2026 Distinguished Entrepreneur Awards, hosted by the Florida Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University, highlighting the strength and continued growth of the local business community.
The Charlotte County candidates include Cole Kelly of Punta Gorda Adventures; Kevin Graham of Suncoast One Title & Closings; Casey Kennedy of Bloom Academy; Cameron and Logan Light of Amaze Games; Mary Rodriguez of Love Your Selfie Studio; and Mohit Pohani of MoAloo Ventures.
“These nominations reinforce what we are seeing across Charlotte County, a growing and resilient business community supported by strong partnerships and resources,” said Kay Tracy, director of Charlotte County Economic Development. “Our local businesses are not only growing, they are gaining recognition at the regional level for their leadership and impact.”
The Distinguished Entrepreneur Awards recognize business leaders who demonstrate excellence in entrepreneurship, community involvement, and business growth. Charlotte County’s representation among this year’s candidates reflects a diverse mix of industries, from tourism and experiential businesses to education, professional services, and emerging ventures.
Programs and support provided through partners such as the Florida SBDC at FGCU continue to play a critical role in helping local businesses scale, adapt, and succeed in a competitive marketplace. Recognition through regional award programs brings increased visibility to Charlotte County businesses and contributes to the area’s reputation as a strong and business-friendly environment.
