Charlotte County Plans Examiner Matt Mullin Earns 2025 Plans Examiner of the Year Honor

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Feb. 6, 2026) – Charlotte County is proud to announce that Matt Mullin, plans examiner, has been named Plans Examiner of the Year for 2025 by the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Building Officials Association of Florida.

The Plans Examiner of the Year award recognizes a licensed plans examiner under Florida Statute 468 who demonstrates exceptional integrity, professionalism, and dedication to public service through the enforcement of building codes and standards that protect public safety. The honor highlights continued professional growth, competent code enforcement, and a strong commitment to assisting fellow officials and the public.

Mullin’s work reflects a high standard of excellence in plans review and a consistent focus on ensuring safe, code-compliant construction throughout the community. His collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues and customers alike exemplify the values upheld by the Gulf Coast BOAF Chapter.
