CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Oct. 14, 2025) — Charlotte County has been honored as one of the 2025 Healthiest Employers in Florida, a nationally recognized awards program that celebrates organizations committed to supporting employee well-being through innovative benefits and health initiatives.
Charlotte County’s Wellness at Work program is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of county and constitutional office employees and their dependents. It provides resources, programs, and activities that support all eight dimensions of wellness in the workplace.
Through health challenges, educational workshops, wellness screenings, and lifestyle support, the county aims to create a culture of wellness that empowers employees and their dependents supports or improves their health and increase their overall quality of life.
This recognition highlights Charlotte County’s continued dedication to fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes health, wellness, and work-life balance. As the nature of work evolves, so too have the ways organizations support their teams — focusing on flexibility, mental health, and holistic benefits to meet employees where they are.
“Ensuring our staff has access to physical and mental health services is one of my top priorities,” said County Administrator Hector Flores. “In order to continue to deliver exceptional service to our community, my colleague need to know we’re here to help them and their families in times of need. I’m proud our organization is recognized as a leader in supporting its employees’ overall well-being.”
All honorees completed the annual Healthiest Employers assessment, which uses a proprietary 1-100 scoring rubric. The survey evaluates six key areas of organizational health and wellness, including strategy, culture, and outcomes. Each response contributes to a Healthiest Employers Index that ranks companies within their size category.
The assessment is powered by Springbuk, a health intelligence platform that empowers employers to make smarter, data-driven decisions to improve employee well-being and manage healthcare costs.
