CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (May 1, 2026) – The South Gulf Cove Lock is scheduled to be cleaned 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8. The lock will only be opened on the hour, every hour until 5 p.m., and will have a lock tender until 7 p.m. The lock will still be available to be opened manually after hours.
