Three Charlotte County business leaders have been named finalists for the 14th Annual Distinguished Entrepreneur Awards, hosted by the Florida Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University.
The local finalists include Casey Kennedy of Bloom Academy, a finalist for Servant Leader of the Year; Cole Kelly of Punta Gorda Adventures, a finalist for Emerging Business of the Year; and Cameron and Logan Light of Amaze Games, also finalists for Emerging Business of the Year.
The annual awards recognize entrepreneurs and business leaders across Southwest Florida for leadership, resilience, vision and commitment to the region’s business community. This year’s finalists represent the strength of Charlotte County’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem, from early-stage business growth to community-centered leadership.
“Charlotte County is proud to see local entrepreneurs recognized among the region’s top business leaders,” said Kay Tracy, director of the Charlotte County Economic Development Office. “These finalists reflect the creativity, commitment and community spirit that continue to make Charlotte County a place where businesses can grow and make an impact.”
The 14th Annual Distinguished Entrepreneur Awards will be held May 6 at Florida Gulf Coast University. The event will celebrate finalists across the Distinguished Entrepreneur, Emerging Business and Servant Leader categories, along with the nominees whose work continues to shape Southwest Florida’s business community.
