Community garden beds are available at Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park Recreation Center, Centennial Park Recreation Center and South County Regional Park Recreation Center.
Community gardens give residents a low-cost way to grow fresh fruits and vegetables. They support healthy eating and provide a simple way to stay active through walking, bending, and digging. These gardens also bring neighbors together, create a stronger sense of community, and offer safe outdoor spaces for people of all ages to learn new skills and take pride in their neighborhood. Community gardens also support sustainability by helping people grow food close to home, reduce waste, and care for the environment.
Gardeners can get help from UF/IFAS Extension, which offers advice on plants, soil, and pest control, as well as free educational resources. To check garden bed availability or to join a community garden, please contact your local recreation center.
