Fourteen Charlotte County products are in the running in the Coolest Thing Made in Florida competition, a statewide celebration of Florida-made products, manufacturers and innovation.
Presented by the Florida Chamber of Commerce in partnership with FloridaCommerce, the competition highlights products manufactured across the state. Charlotte County companies represented in the competition include

County Earns 33 NACo Achievement Awards

**REVISED** Port Charlotte Library Closing after 65 years

After 65 years, The Port Charlotte Library will close permanently after Saturday, July 11. The last day to check out materials at the Port Charlotte Library will be Thursday, July 9, 2026. Computers, wifi, and printing services will be available through July 11 at 6 p.m.

Traffic Advisory - San Domingo Boulevard Bridge Closure June 19-July 17

The San Domingo Boulevard bridge over the Santa Cruz Waterway will be closed Friday, June 19 through July 17. This bridge closure is required for bridge rehabilitation work.
Traffic Advisory - Lane Closure on Veterans Boulevard at Orlando Boulevard Intersection June 11-July 10

The eastbound right-hand lane at Veterans Boulevard and Orlando Boulevard will be closed Thursday, June 11 through Friday, July 10 for EHC Construction to perform roadway construction.
