Fishing Piers - Closed for Restoration
Charlotte County's fishing piers sustained significant damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Fishing pier repairs and reconstruction require engineering, permitting, environmental review, and contractor selection before construction can begin. Permitting through agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers may take 12–24 months to complete.
