Design and construction of a new 62,000-square-foot Law Enforcement Administrative Headquarters for the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. This modern facility will be located on County-owned land adjacent to the existing District 3 Headquarters and the Impound, Evidence, and Forensics Facility, bringing multiple law enforcement services together into one coordinated campus.
The new headquarters will replace the current leased building, which was originally repaired after Hurricane Charley and remains vulnerable to severe weather. The upgraded facility will meet the needs of a modern, growing law enforcement agency by providing safer, more efficient, and more resilient space for deputies and staff to serve the community. It will also include a new Emergency 911 Communications Center, ensuring reliable emergency response during critical events.

The Burnt Store Area Drainage Study seeks to identify areas that flood now, and areas that are expected to flood once the watershed is built out. The study will recommend conceptual improvements to alleviate this flooding.

Storm damage caused equipment failures, electrical surges, and broken sensors. Several light poles and fixtures were damaged or destroyed. Buildings sustained damage to fascia, soffits, gutters, windows, doors, and lightning protection terminals. About 60 feet of perimeter fencing and gates were damaged, with fallen trees on the fence.
