May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Charlotte County Community Services has developed a Mental Health Awareness Month activity calendar that encourages Charlotte County residents and visitors to Get Up, Get Out, and Get Active this May.   

Lake Betty Park Reopening April 26

April 24, 2025 5:09 pm

Beginning April 26, 2025 Lake Betty Park will be reopened for public use. The park features two new playscapes, a new ninja course, picnic shelters, benches, a grill and a walking path.

Sea Turtle Nesting Season Begins May 1

April 23, 2025 7:39 am

Sea turtle nesting season begins May 1 and and runs through October 31 in Charlotte County. Each year, loggerhead, green, and a few Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles come to our beaches to lay their eggs.
