Weir Inspection and Repair Design

The ELK 3.45, FOR 5.11 and a weir on the Pellam Waterway were found to be damaged. The cause of the damage is not known. An engineering firm has been retained to assess these three water control stuctures to determine the extent of the deficincies and then to prepare a cost effective plan that will successfully restore the structures so that they operate as designed.

The Bayshore Grass Parking area was severely damaged by Hurricane Milton. A new assessment is required to confirm that the previous design will still meet current project needs. Submittals have been received, and an engineer of record has been confirmed. Contract negotiations are in progress, and once final designs are approved, the County will advertise the project for construction bids to begin reestablishing and hardening the parking area.

GC Herring Phase I design and construction will include two (2) playgrounds including shade structures, one ages 2-5 and one ages 6-12, one large pavilion and two small pavilions, one tennis court, four pickleball courts, one basketball court, two sand volleyball court, fitness hub with shade structure, multi-purpose field area and exercise trail.
